HOW TO GENERATE LEADS BY EXPANDING YOUR WEB PRESENCE

If you decide to start a hamburger business on a Florida beach, what will you need for your business to prosper? You will need a lot of things, such as a location, supplies, hamburger ingredients, beverages, etc. This is all good. But the main part of your business without which it will probably go broke within days is a hungry crowd.

Like a hamburger business, any business exists thanks its customers or clients. Network marketing and Internet business are not exceptions. We need prospects that we can turn into either our partners or customers. But how can you generate leads online? To better answer this question we have to look at different aspects of online lead generation process.

      1. Expand Your Web Presence to Grow Your Business

It is not a secret that the more people find out about your business the higher are the chances that those people might want to see what you do and what you can do for them. The Network Marketing and Internet business is based on the same principle. The wider you expand your web presence the more people can potentially become your prospects. It’s that simple!

If you have a website, it is not enough for it to have a fancy design. It’s not even enough to fill it with informative and valuable content. You must breathe life into it so it could start generating income for you. You have to build an infrastructure around your website so that people could come and see what you have to offer them. Imagine your website is a city. It will remain a city in the middle of a desert if you do not build highways leading to it, if you don’t create sites to attract tourists to. Your website needs traffic, much traffic, and more traffic every day, so you can grow your business, whatever it is. As road construction requires tools, building of an infrastructure around your website also requires certain tools. Read on!

2. Use Attraction Marketing Tools

The tools that you need to grow traffic to your site are called by some people ‘Attraction Marketing Tools’. Those tools are widely used on the Internet by large corporations as well as small business owners and private entrepreneurs.

If you are transferring your existing offline business to the Internet or if you just want to start your own business online, you probably possess certain skills, experience or are an expert in a certain area. By sharing your knowledge with the Internet community will allow you to expose your business to many of those who are interested in what you do, in your expertise. How can you share your knowledge with others? Well, nowadays the Internet provides unprecedented opportunities for business expansion by means of Web 2.0 technologies. Speaking in plain terms, they allow you to create written, audio or video content and share with the Internet community within seconds thus attracting more traffic to your website or page.

Practically, all Web 2.0 tools can be divided into 3 basic categories:

  1. Content Sharing
  2. Bookmarking
  3. Social Networking

As the name implies, content sharing websites allow you to share your written, audio, or video content with millions of people browsing the web every day. By sharing your content with others you expose your business to potential customers/clients. Of course, you have to constantly create new content to share it. You create it, post in on the Internet, share it, and continue the process over and over again. This is how you expand your web presence.

Under written content people understand everything that you can write or type and that has value for your prospects, such as articles, reports, reviews, interviews, blog posts, expert opinion, etc. Audio content includes audio recordings, CD’s, podcasts, and alike. Video content includes video posts, DVD’s, screen-shot videos, and so on.

Likewise bookmarking sites – they allow your to bookmark the sites that you visit most often or like more than others. People can do the same with your website: if they like it, they will bookmark it to continuously visit it. Continuous traffic to your website can mean continuous income. Especially if what you offer to people presents value to them.

Social Networking sites can be compared to community centers of real life where people meet for various reasons – to get rid of loneliness, to get in touch with people from all over the world, or to build business relationships. These websites give you an opportunity to tell people who you are, what you do for living, how you reached your success, etc. People join people, so when you join a community on a social website, you are expected to be a real person first of all, not a corporation. Do not put your business in front of people’s eyes. Instead, brand yourself. Show your interest in others before trumpeting about your business all over the site. In other words, be yourself.

You might say: “What if I don’t know how to create any type of content.” Don’t worry. You don’t have to be a Jack of all trades. Renegade University provides comprehensive training (when you upgrade to the Professional Level) to teach you, small step at a time, how to create your own web of content on the Internet. The training is designed in a way that even not technically savvy people can produce high quality content on their first day of training. I am absolutely convinced that you’ll also be able to do that. But read on, you’ll have to know something else.

3. Valuable Content Generates More Leads

In Lesson #6 I describe the difference between value and spam. It is important to understand this difference before you start marketing your goods or services on the Internet. If you write an article or create a video or a podcast, provide value to your readers, spectators or listeners. Show them how to do what you know, share your knowledge and expertise with them. Give them what they want to get, help them solve their problems, give them hope, and teach them. Be a leader and show it in your content.

4. Search Engine Rankings

It goes without saying that search engine rankings are as important as marketing itself. By those rankings prospects will determine whether you are worth their attention or not. The wider you expand your web presence the better is your exposure to prospects. The more often people come across your name on the Web, the more often they click to visit your website or read your content. The more they click on your name, the higher are your rankings with the search engines. The more value you provide, the more likely people will buy goods or services from you, the more likely they will want to deal with you over and over again. So, flood the Web with your valuable content, and the results will not let you wait long.

5. Diversify Your Web Presence

We’ve talked about the tools that you can use to market your business. The variety of tools on the Internet is great. If you decide to specialize in one tool to begin with, that’s ok. But do not limit yourself in choosing the tools as your presence grows. Diversify your marketing; use the tools that are more appropriate for your particular campaigns. Learn new marketing strategies by mastering the use of new tools.

Renegade University provides training so you could sharpen your skills of utilizing the tools described above. You will learn how to diversify your marketing process with the tools from each of the three basic categories and much more.

Diversification will allow you to reach out to audiences whose perception of information is also diverse. Some prefer video; some are good listeners, and some like reading. You will eventually want to target all 3 categories of people. But in the beginning, choose only one tool that you like and are most comfortable working with. Master it, and then try a next one. This way you will feel less overwhelmed and stay focused on one particular tool.

Again, if you ever need help, Renegade University is there for you as well as me, your personal guide.
